Guaranteed fun ‘LiVe in the CommonUnity’ open to the public. \nMeet Linden Conroy:\nLinden is a Calgary based guitarist/singer who has played in a diverse set of genres such as country\, jazz\, blues\, soul\, funk\, ska\, and instrumental acoustic. Since he was 14\, he has performed extensively with The Marcus Trummer Band around Alberta\, playing venues like The Ironwood\, The King Eddy and The Bluescan\, as well as a number of festivals such as Waynestock and the Whyte Ave Bluesfest (Co-billing with Colin James)\, and has been featured on a four song EP entitled These Roads. \nHe has also regularly plays with Tendavillage and with Jory Kinjo and Aaron Young (Including a sold out album release party at the Ironwood). Through this live performing experience as well as private study with Aaron Young (guitar) and Kate Stevens (vocals)\, Linden has developed proficiency in a wide variety of musical settings. Stagehand:  https://www.stagehand.app/artists/2293 \nMeet Ben Tizzard\nBen Tizzard\, born on August 28th\, 1994\, in Kingston\, Ontario\, is a Calgary-based musician who has dedicated his life to the love of music. His musical journey began at the age of 13 when he discovered his father’s acoustic guitar and joined a guitar jam club in junior high. Since then\, Ben has never looked back and has been devoted to studying and performing the guitar. \nBen holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Jazz Guitar from Ambrose University\, and has had the privilege of studying with renowned Calgary musicians such as Ralf Bushmeyer\, Neil McVey\, Stefano Valdo\, Pat Belliveau\, Aaron Young\, and Aaron Shorr. With over 15 years of experience playing the guitar\, Ben has honed his skills and developed a unique musical style that incorporates a plethora of musical genres. \nBen’s musical journey continues with the release of his first EP titled “Sisyphus\,” which marks his entry into the Singer-Songwriter realm. His 36 year career and constant work in the Calgary music industry is inspirational for so many. Always such a pleasure to share an afternoon with one of my favorite local celebrity musicians that has been such a key builder of the music scene in Calgary & huge part of developing live spaces that we enjoy today. \nAmerican born\, long time Canadian blues and roots artist Tim Williams began his career with Epic Records for whom he recorded his first LP in 1968 (Blues Full Circle\, featuring Pee Wee Crayton and George “Harmonica” Smith in the backing band\, and produced by Chris Strachwitz). \nHis return to full-time performing began with his appearance at the 1988 Edmonton Folk Festival\, where he wowed every audience he played to\, won praise from folks like Jimmy Dale Gilmore\, and was re-united with old pal Tom Russell. Since then it’s been a steady stream of tours\, recordings\, and interesting side projects. A producer/performer on four JUNO-nominated projects (Triple Threat\, Little Miss Higgins\, Ray Bonneville\, and Williams\, Wayne & Isaak) and perhaps forty others\, plus over a dozen solo and side group cds\, Tim remains an active session musician and occasional producer. Skilled craftsman on dobro\, banjo\, mandolin\, and harmonica he is a busy session musician with a full schedule of club gigs\, open mics\, recording sessions and concert dates. \nPAUL PIGATBlessed with a jazz man’s sheen\, a rockabilly heart and a hobo’s soul\nThrilled to have Paul stop in for a first visit here at CHC and with Tim Williams on the stage together is going to be makes a recipe for a great afternoon shared with these Storyteller/Singer\,Songwriters/Performers. Mark and Hank are both members of Uncle Wiggly’s Hot Shoes Blues Band. Although the Blue Hearts is a new thing for them they bring a ton of experience in the Blues with them. Both have been playing and recording the Blues for over 40 years with each other & other Blues bands. \nIn 2015 they went to Memphis to represent BC at the IBC’s in the Band Category with Uncle Wiggly’s Hot Shoes Blues Band and are excited to be returning to Memphis to compete this year in the Solo Duo category as The Blue Hearts. The thing I admire about these guys is how they play a major role in mentoring and helping new musicians within their respective home base communities in Calgary and Winnipeg. \nIn 2019\, Big Dave McLean was awarded the Order of Canada for his musical influence on Delta and Chicago blues and for mentoring musicians. With a full and lengthy career recognized with a Juno and multiple other awards\, Big Dave has always been one of my favorite visiting artists\, and what a pleasure to meet his kind and very talented soul. Big Dave lives and actively supports the Winnipeg area communities\, so it truly is a treat to have these guys gather for us again. \nTim Williams has been a major influence on Calgary live music for well over four decades\, and as well as road touring on occasion\, Tim’s multi-instrument and diverse musical genres have been a mainstay of excellence and mentoring within his Calgary communities. I am always thrilled to have Tim return to bring his talents and stories that are guaranteed to get toes tapping and be tons of fun. \nKevin Belzner has a beat for every occasion\, it seems\, and loves to play music\, so he has played with quite a few of Calgary’s top artists over the years. Although the youngest of the bunch\, Kevin has written songs on the BMW album “CATFISH\,” which will be featured live on June 11th.
