🎸 JW JONES – Special Return Concert

Sunday, October 11, 2026

Calgary House Concerts is proud to present the return of JUNO-nominated blues guitarist and singer JW Jones for a special afternoon performance as part of our Live in the Community series.

JW Jones is one of Canada’s most respected working blues artists. His career has been built on consistency, professionalism, and musicianship that holds up night after night. With more than two decades of international touring, performances in over 23 countries, and appearances on major festival stages across North America and beyond, JW has earned his reputation the right way — through steady work and strong live shows.

He has shared stages with legends including Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Hubert Sumlin, and Jimmie Vaughan. That kind of peer company reflects credibility within the blues community — not as a novelty act, but as a trusted and respected performer.

His JUNO-nominated album Belmont Boulevard brought national recognition and critical acclaim, highlighting refined guitar work and disciplined songwriting. Subsequent releases, including Everything Now, continue to showcase an artist grounded in traditional blues vocabulary while delivering it with modern confidence and clarity.

This event is also a Food Bank Booster Concert, inviting guests to bring non-perishable food items in support of local community food programs and the Veterans Association Food Bank. Together, we’ll share music, gather donations, and strengthen community ties.

This is more than a concert — it’s a chance to reconnect with friends of the series, welcome new listeners, and experience live music the way it was meant to be shared: in real time, in the room, together.

We hope you can join us — and thank you for supporting Live Music in the Community.
