Calgary House Concerts welcomes King of Foxes for a special intimate acoustic duo performance featuring Edmonton songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Olivia Street.

King of Foxes has earned a reputation for sharp, heartfelt songwriting, memorable melodies and captivating live performances. While the full-band project lives in the indie-rock world, Olivia's songs translate beautifully to the stripped-down acoustic setting, bringing the lyrics, vocals and stories behind the music front and centre.

An Edmonton Music Prize recipient and Western Canadian Music Awards Rock Artist of the Year nominee, King of Foxes has received extensive support from CKUA, with the project's past two albums appearing in CKUA's Top 100 Albums of the Year at #11 and #24.

King of Foxes has toured extensively across Canada, the UK and Japan, sharing stages with artists including Barenaked Ladies, Terra Lightfoot and 54-40, and appearing at festivals and events including Red Deer Folk Music Festival, NXNE, JUNOfest, Tiny Lights, Taste of Edmonton and Winterruption YEG.

Olivia is no stranger to intimate performances. Alongside the full-band shows, King of Foxes has performed numerous acoustic duo and solo concerts, residencies and listening-room shows, making this a natural fit for the up-close Calgary House Concerts experience.

The latest King of Foxes release, Hall of Shame, showcases Olivia's evolving songwriting while retaining the melodic indie-rock character that has become a signature of the project. Her songs balance vulnerability, wit and observation with hooks that stay with you long after the show.
