We are excited to officially announce the start of **CHC Youthful Bridges Video Request**, created in partnership with **Calgary House Concerts** to spotlight and support youth talent — hopefully right here in your neighbourhood.
**Youthful Bridges** invites youth (defined as anyone under 18 years old), whether solo performers or duos, to submit a video performance of one song — original or cover — for a chance to be selected as the **opening act for a professional artist** at an upcoming CHC ‘Live in the Community’ concert.
This program is about more than music. It’s a community-building event designed to uplift youth, bring neighbours together, and support our local food bank through a family-friendly concert experience hosted in various partner Community Centres.
We encourage youth (and their families) to take part in this exciting opportunity to showcase their passion and talents.

🎤 What is Youthful Bridges?
Youthful Bridges is a music initiative from Calgary House Concerts that gives young performers (under 18) the chance to open for professional headline artists at real community concerts. with live audiences.
We believe in giving artists the real world stage experience builds meaningful connections between emerging performers and live audiences in positive, welcoming settings of Community Centres.
These performances are part of CHC’s Live in the Community series — concerts that inspire creativity, support local causes, and bring people together through music.

📥 How to Submit Your Video
It’s easy, and you don’t need professional equipment — just passion!
1. Record one song (solo or duo performance)
– 🎵 Length: 30 seconds to 4 minutes
– 🎤 Original or cover (credit the artist if it’s a cover)
– 🎧 Make sure we can clearly hear and see you
2. Go to the submission form:

3. Fill in the form:
– Your name and email
– Postal code (first 3 characters)
– Optional: tell us why you chose the song
– Upload a video file or paste a YouTube link
– Parent/Guardian name and relationship (required if under 18)
– Type “MUSIC” to confirm
4. Click submit — you’ll receive a confirmation by email
🕒 Deadline to submit: Monday, April 21, 2025 at 12:00 PM (noon)
📂 Video Guidelines & File Tips
To make sure we can properly review your clip:
– ✅ Use good lighting so we can see you
– ✅ Use clear sound (singing should be louder than background noise)
– ✅ Use steady recording (phone is fine — just don’t shake!)
– ✅ Accepted formats: mp4, mov, avi, wmv, or YouTube link
📌Note: If a video cannot be played clearly, it may not be considered.
🔐 What Happens to Your Video?
– ✅ Used only for matching artists to the right CHC concert
– ✅ Not shared publicly without your permission
– ✅ Deleted after 60 days
– ✅ You keep full ownership of your content
🎯 What Happens If You’re Selected?
– You’ll be contacted via email
– You’ll receive artist honorarium to perform LIVE at a community concert
– You’ll meet a pro artist and be featured on our artist intro page:

– You’ll be part of something bigger — a community celebration of music, creativity, and kindness
👨👩👧 Parent/Guardian Consent
If you’re under 18, your parent or guardian must:
– Provide their full legal name
– Confirm their relationship to you
– Agree to your participation
