Adam Karch – Live in Calgary (First Appearance)
Calgary House Concerts proudly presents Adam Karch, one of Canada’s most profound and soulful roots musicians, for his very first Calgary performance. Hailing from the Ottawa–Montreal region, Adam has spent decades honing his craft — from the clubs and pubs of Quebec to international festival stages — blending the raw energy of live performance with the timeless soul of the blues.
Inspired by legends like Robert Johnson and Mississippi John Hurt, Adam strips music down to its essence, reimagining every song through his dynamic, percussive fingerpicking guitar style and warm, resonant voice. His artistry has been recognized worldwide, earning him the Memphis Cigar Box Guitar Award at the 2023 International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
Over the course of six acclaimed albums, Adam has proven himself as both a gifted songwriter and a master interpreter. His latest release, Some Awkward Country Ahead, showcases 10 original songs including My Birmingham, Kelly’s Blues, and Black and Blue — tracks that balance heartfelt storytelling with intricate musicianship.
Join us on November 3, 2025, for an unforgettable evening of music, community, and connection. Adam Karch brings with him not just immense talent, but also the spirit of the great blues pioneers, offering Calgary audiences a night that will linger long after the final chord fades.
Not just a concert. It’s a moment to connect with friends of the series—and a chance to share the realtime experience.
