I am thrilled to announce our next Calgary House Concerts – Live in the Community – Jay Coda Walker

Step into an afternoon of music that is both soulful and timeless with Jay Coda Walker, one of Calgary’s most authentic voices in country and blues. With a career shaped by passion, perseverance, and the joy of storytelling through song, Jay brings a sound he calls “Rocky Tonk” — a heartfelt blend of blues, roots, and country influences that speaks across generations.
Over the years, Jay has graced legendary stages including the Grand Ole Opry, Jack Singer Concert Hall, Ranchman’s, The Blues Can, and Mikey’s, building a reputation as an artist who connects instantly with audiences. He has had the honour of sharing stages with world-renowned acts like Jonny Lang and America, while also earning recognition with awards such as the CCMA Rising Star and the International Memphis Blues Challenge. These milestones are matched by his deep commitment to creating music that feels personal, powerful, and true.

Jay’s live shows are more than performances — they are experiences crafted to foster warmth, connection, and joy.

This Live in the Community concert is part of Calgary House Concerts’ vision to bring people together through music in welcoming, local spaces. It’s about more than entertainment — it’s about belonging, inspiration, and celebrating the shared spirit of live music.

As part of our Live in the Community series, this concert embodies what Calgary House Concerts is all about: world-class artistry in welcoming neighbourhood venues, offered on a Pay-What-You-Can basis so that everyone can access live music.

This event is also a Food Bank Booster Concert, inviting all guests to bring non-perishable food items in support of both local community food programs and the

Veterans Association Food Bank. Together, we’ll share music, gather donations, and strengthen community ties.

Not just a concert. It’s a moment to connect with friends of the series—and a chance to share the realtime experience.
